From a post on post on the Yahoo Microscope group by Kevin Sunley
For information concerning literature/manuals for that era
of
equipment, the Zeiss
archives:
http://www.zeiss.de/de/archives/home.nsf
..
is very useful. That page is in German, but there is a link
near
the top of the page for their English site. Their
archivist has
very likely a copy of every document or sales record
Zeiss has ever
produced, so that'd be a great place to start.
For some photocopies
there can be a small charge, but I believe it
is quite reasonable.
If you have specific equipment in mind
that you're looking for, it
does come up occasionally on the
normal online auction sites. Two
other places you might want
to try are:
http://www.mikroskop-online.de/index.html
..
they are a German company which seems to have fair amount of
Zeiss
Jena equipment. I've never dealt with them personally, but
I'm
quite sure I've seen numerous auctions from them on eBay.
They
seem to have a great amount of positive feedback and know
what
they're talking about. I believe their eBay name is
"xxxx11".
Also their site is in German, I seem to
remember asking them a
question, and receiving an English
response.
Another company is Desna
Laboratories:
http://www.desna.com/
..
they're an American company with experience servicing
Jena
microscopes, and are usually the company that I've had Zeiss
refer
me to when I had questions regarding Jena equipment.
While I'm
posting this, it seems that their website is not quite
working
properly (there seem to be no links off the main page) so
I'm not
sure why that is, but there is a phone number and e-mail
address on
their main page which might help.
Are there
any particular accessories you're looking for?

Kevin
